About The Role
We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Team Member. The position will be stationed at our 670 Strathearne Ave location in Hamilton, ON. This role will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting, and processing non-ferrous scrap metals to achieve operational goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the safe operation, control, and maintenance of stationary equipment utilized in shipping, receiving, and production processes. There is 1 vacancy for this position.

Wage
$25.09 per hour.
Shift Details
- Monday to Wednesday: 7:30AM – 4:00PM
- Thursday/Friday: 7:00AM – 4:00PM
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately completes yard tickets and provides tickets to customers.
- Sorts and deposits material into assigned location.
- Processes materials by breaking them down by commodity and removing all non-conforming material.
- Issues deductions for non-conforming material or material of zero value.
- Operates material processing equipment, saws all, quick cuts, shear.
- May use pallet scale to weigh non-ferrous materials.
- May use computer system to input non-ferrous material codes and weights.
Provides exceptional customer service building and/or maintaining positive customer relations:
- Greeting customers.
- Assisting with the removal of material from customer vehicles.
- Resolving general material disputes with customers.
- Forwards unresolved customer disputes to supervision.
- Provides prompt, efficient, and effective service.
- Other duties as directed by Manager.
Qualifications
- Values consistent with Triple M Metal’s Core Values of Respect, Ethics, Service, Team, and Pride.
- Experience in a similar role/environment is preferred but not required.
- Experience operating forklift is preferred but not required.
- Submit or agree to a Criminal Records Search.
- Previous outdoor work experience is required.
