Software Engineer III - Content Tooling (AI Focus)
GHX is seeking a Software Engineer III to work on our innovative Content Tooling solution. This individual will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and support of AI-powered software solutions that enhance content creation, management, and automation capabilities. Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering, the Software Engineer III will analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products leveraging modern AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and intelligent automation tools. This role is responsible for interacting with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI-powered content tooling solutions using modern AI technologies (Claude, Copilot, AI Agents, MCP servers)
- Develop and integrate LLM-based features for content generation, analysis, and automation
- Design and implement REST API solutions to support AI agent workflows and content processing pipelines
- Build and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers for seamless AI tool integration
- Develop responsive UI applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript)
- Translate ideas into clear, maintainable code with minimal supervision
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including product, UX, and offshore development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient with multiple technologies including AI/LLM integration, modern web frameworks, and cloud services
- Strong understanding of AI agent architectures, prompt engineering, and LLM API integration
- Identifies, implements, and applies best practices for AI-powered applications; is the “go to” person on the team
- Ability to handle multiple projects and possesses a proven track record of high-quality deliverables
- Delivers code with high quality and throughput consistently
- Effectively communicates technical concepts to both technical staff and cross-functional teams with varying degrees of technical experience
- Understands and can explain up and downstream impacts across products, teams, and the organization
- Possesses a broad understanding of Agile/LEAN principles and ability to apply agile methodology effectively
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree
- 5+ years of related software development experience using modern programming languages (Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies (Large Language Models like Claude/GPT, AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, AI agent frameworks, MCP servers or similar integration patterns)
- Experience with REST API design and implementation, and developing web applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum development environments
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Snowflake and Sigma Computing or similar cloud data platforms and BI tools
- Knowledge of healthcare supply chain or healthcare IT systems
Salary and Benefits
Estimated Salary Range for this position: $91,000 to $121,000
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX’s salary range for this position. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees.
