Overview
GHD is committed to environmental care and is seeking a Senior Transit Design Architect to join our growing Canadian Operations in Ontario. In this role, you will primarily support Rail and Transit multidisciplinary projects including stations and transportation facilities, with opportunities in water/wastewater, energy, and more.
Who We Are Looking For
The candidate must have 15–20 years of architectural experience, be licensed to practice in Ontario, and possess expert-level skills in Revit. Experience with Metrolinx and/or Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) projects is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Lead architectural vision, review engineering plans, and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
- Management and Coordination: Oversee project scope, schedule, and coordination between multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure compliance with building codes, transit guidelines, safety standards, and promote sustainability (LEED, Envision, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture; licensed in Ontario.
- 15–20 years of experience with large complex BIM project delivery.
- Expert experience in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with MicroStation and Navisworks is an asset.
- Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
