About the Role
Our Niagara Falls, NY office is seeking a Lab Technician/Scientist to support our senior Chemists and Scientists. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and advance your science career within a dynamic and high-performing team. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and flexibility, requiring three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Conducting simple wet chemistry tests on environmental samples.
- Performing organic solvent extractions on groundwater and soil.
- Assisting in the setup of treatability studies.
- Supporting office staff with related tasks and local field sampling programs (training provided).
- Assisting with general laboratory maintenance.
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience and aptitude for laboratory work, gained through employment or education.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good written English skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and arithmetic skills.
- Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and proven time management abilities.
- Self-starter, flexible, team player, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
