Key Responsibilities
Personnel
- Ensure fair treatment of all personnel and establish high appearance standards.
- Practice progressive discipline for employee performance issues and ensure proper completion of driver paperwork daily.
- Conduct annual employee performance reviews and approve compensation changes, adhering to all wage and hour guidelines.
Operations
- Establish priorities to meet customer service commitments and direct collection/disposal services efficiently.
- Establish and review productivity standards, protect all assets, and ensure drivers are DOT compliant.
- Enter product line data into Tower and assist in scheduled route audits.
Financial
- Assist in developing and executing an operation profit plan, including revenue, costs, growth, productivity, capital, and personnel.
- Ensure branch profit margins are met.
Safety
- Promote an effective safety program to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Investigate accidents, prepare necessary paperwork, and ensure routine route observations.
- Schedule, plan, and conduct monthly safety meetings.
Additional Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and discipline all product line personnel.
- Ensure all employees are dressed in the proper uniform.
- Conform to all applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, company policies, and directives.
- Perform other duties as required or requested by management.
Requirements
- BA or BS Degree desired or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in the waste industry is desired.
- Must meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions.
- May require a Commercial Driver's License.
