Job Title: Red Seal Parts Technician

GFL Environmental is actively seeking a certified Red Seal Parts Technician to join our maintenance team in Coquitlam, BC. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our heavy-duty fleet operations run smoothly and efficiently by managing the inventory of parts, tools, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, order, and receive essential parts and materials for heavy-duty fleet maintenance.
  • Maintain meticulous inventory levels, records, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanics and supervisors to anticipate parts needs and guarantee timely availability.
  • Organize and manage the parts room to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong, productive relationships with a diverse network of vendors and suppliers.
  • Efficiently process returns, warranty claims, and core exchanges as required to optimize stock.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Parts Technician certification is highly preferred, demonstrating your specialized expertise.
  • Prior experience within a heavy-duty or fleet maintenance environment is a significant asset.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and effective communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and standard basic computer applications.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and comfortable working within an active shop environment.
