About the Role: Communications and Experience Coordinator
The Communications and Experience Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enriching GFG Alliance's internal communication and employee experience. This hands-on, creative position is perfect for someone passionate about content creation, shaping compelling stories, engaging directly with people, and ensuring a large, distributed workforce remains informed and connected.
You will be responsible for creating content across various formats, including written articles, visual assets, digital posts, video, and short-form social-style content. A significant part of your role will involve working directly with frontline employees, assisting them in engaging with digital platforms, publishing content, and gathering authentic stories. You will also support internal events, travel to sites when necessary, and contribute to building communication confidence and capability across the organization.
You will receive guidance and coaching from the Employee Communication & Experience Manager and collaborate closely with colleagues from digital, content, design, HR, Safety, and operational teams. This role is ideal for a professional with around five years of experience who is eager to grow as a storyteller, content creator, and internal communication expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce clear, engaging content, including articles, features, leader messages, interviews, scripts, presentation materials, digital posts, and short-form storytelling.
- Capture authentic frontline stories through interviews, photos, short videos, or on-site content gathering.
- Develop visual content in collaboration with design colleagues and provide basic editing support when needed.
- Publish and maintain content across GFG Alliance's hybrid intranet, enterprise social network, and other digital channels.
- Support employees in accessing, understanding, and effectively using digital communication tools.
- Spend time on-site with frontline teams to gather stories, understand their communication needs, and capture content that reflects their daily work.
- Coordinate logistics for internal events, leadership forums, and various engagement activities.
- Proactively suggest new content formats, communication approaches, and stories that resonate with both office-based and frontline employees.
Capabilities & Requirements
- Approximately five years of experience in communication, journalism, marketing, content, or digital roles.
- Demonstrated strong writing, storytelling, and content creation skills across multiple formats.
- Confidence in working with frontline teams and comfort being on-site to gather stories and conduct interviews.
- Ability to produce basic video or visual content, with additional design support available.
- Experience in engaging employees across digital platforms, intranets, or enterprise social networks.
- Willingness to travel to various sites for events, story capture, and platform engagement.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Curious about new tools, including AI, and eager to learn and experiment with innovative approaches.
- Collaborative, approachable, and confident in working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
