We’re seeking a senior leader for our Site Merchandising, Content Management & Localization department and drive our shift to an AI‑first content organization. You’ll lead a 30‑FTE team including outsourced operations, reporting directly to the COO and co‑founder. You’ll shape scalable content and data operations at the intersection of Operations, Product/Tech and Marketing as a central partner on how we design and run our marketplace experiences.

Your Mission as Head of Content Systems & Operations

  • Build, lead and develop your functional teams and a large freelancer pool, creating clarity, focus and a high‑performance culture.
  • Own, evolve and execute the department strategy, including org design and operating model; communicate and drive change with your teams and key stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Product and Tech leaders on content‑related solution design and target operating models.
  • Continuously improve AI‑enabled content operations across merchandising, marketplace content and localization, ensuring operational excellence and reliable delivery.
  • Design human expert and automated systems interaction through human‑in‑the‑loop workflows across content creation, model training and evaluation, and live operations.
  • Develop and scale frameworks and programs that improve source and localized content quality, merchandising effectiveness and overall product experience.
  • Establish and maintain data standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Your Toolkit

  • 8+ years in a high‑growth digital environment (marketplace or e‑commerce strongly preferred), including 3+ years leading teams.
  • Proven track record in scaled content operations, site merchandising, localization or closely related product/operations domains.
  • Strong systems thinking and metrics rigor across content quality, data completeness, translation quality and merchandising impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex customer problems and to manage large, cross‑functional projects and stakeholder groups.
  • High affinity with AI and automation, hands-on exposure to human-in-the-loop workflows and content/data tooling and comfortable partnering with DS/ML functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to steer and influence cross‑functional teams at all levels.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin.
