Video Games Expert

Role Overview

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients collaborating with a leading AI research organization on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving game analysis, interactive reasoning, and culturally grounded entertainment understanding in advanced language models. We are seeking experienced Video Games Experts to create and evaluate high-quality, game-related prompts and responses.

This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically looking for experts who are fluent and deeply engaged in one or more of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.

Important: This role is not about translation ability alone. Candidates must have sustained engagement with video games within their linguistic and cultural ecosystem, including familiarity with:

• Regional gaming markets
• Genre conventions and gameplay systems
• Platform ecosystems (PC, console, mobile)
• Esports scenes and competitive formats
• Community discourse and culturally specific gaming trends

This role is ideal for serious gamers, reviewers, streamers, modders, competitive players, indie developers, or highly engaged hobbyists active in gaming communities in their language environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Author realistic video game prompts covering gameplay mechanics, genre analysis, strategy optimization, narrative design, game balance, and industry trends
• Review and refine AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, mechanical correctness, and cultural nuance
• Write high-quality “gold standard” responses for advanced strategy, lore analysis, or design-related questions
• Create controlled prompt variations testing platform constraints, rule systems, skill tiers, competitive formats, and regional differences
• Evaluate outputs across tones (analytical, instructional, review-style, competitive)
• Identify model failure cases such as incorrect mechanics, outdated patch information, lore misinterpretations, or culturally inconsistent knowledge

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of sustained engagement with video games (competitive play, reviewing, theorycrafting, content creation, modding, or active community participation)
• Active participation in gaming discourse within at least one of the specified language ecosystems
• Strong familiarity with major genres, gameplay systems, esports ecosystems, and regional gaming cultures
• Ability to clearly articulate mechanics, strategy, and narrative analysis in the target language
• Strong written communication skills and editorial judgment

Commitment

• Expected availability: 10–40 hours per week
• Fully remote and flexible scheduling
