Transactional Regulatory Associate - Remote
Engagement: Hourly contract (independent contractor)Rate: USD 180-200 /Hour
Job Summary
Get Offers is seeking experienced Transactional or Regulatory Associates to support an AI research initiative. This role focuses on evaluating advanced AI systems on real-world legal research tasks. You will develop realistic research questions reflecting challenges in transactional and regulatory legal practice. Your work will contribute to building high-quality benchmarks to assess AI systems' effectiveness in interpreting statutes, regulations, and legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft practitioner-level legal research questions for transactional and regulatory practice areas.
- Develop scenarios involving corporate transactions, securities regulation, administrative law, and compliance.
- Incorporate jurisdiction-specific statutory and regulatory interpretation.
- Frame research questions requiring synthesis of statutory text, agency guidance, case law, and legislative history.
- Ensure questions mirror real client matters and practical legal challenges, not academic hypotheticals.
- Structure research problems clearly for professional legal research addressing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of law firm experience in transactional or regulatory legal practice.
- Strong background in statutory and regulatory interpretation.
- Experience researching federal and/or state regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to clearly scope and articulate complex legal issues for research purposes.
- Strong written communication skills with structured legal reasoning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
- Background in highly regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, energy).
- Experience with legal technology, AI research initiatives, or dataset development.
Contract and Payment Terms
- This is an independent contractor position.
- Work remotely on your own schedule.
