- Develop 3D features including extrusions, revolves, helices, and Boolean operations.
- Manage assemblies and simulate mechanisms or linkages where required.
- Iterate designs based on engineering and manufacturability considerations.
- Prepare and export CAM-ready files (DXF, STL, STEP, etc.).
- Ensure compatibility with manufacturing processes such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC machining.
- Clearly document workflow decisions and technical reasoning.
- Collaborate remotely with technical stakeholders to maintain project standards.
Required Qualifications

- Strong understanding of 3D CAD principles and constraint-based modeling.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or comparable CAD platforms.
- Experience preparing files for manufacturing and CAM workflows.
- Ability to manage assemblies and structured design iterations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and logical problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote contract environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in mechanical engineering, product design, or manufacturing.
- Experience mentoring or documenting CAD workflows.
- Familiarity with mechanism simulation and advanced constraint strategies.
- Exposure to CNC, additive manufacturing, or fabrication workflows.
Engagement Details
- Contract-based engagement.
- Fully remote.
- Flexible scheduling.
- Compensation based on experience and project scope.
- Work authorization requirements may apply depending on project and client needs.
