About The Role
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking an experienced OpenSCAD Expert to support parametric CAD modeling and structured design workflow documentation. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in script-based CAD design who can develop robust, reusable parametric models and clearly communicate their engineering reasoning. You will contribute to advanced parametric modeling projects, creating structured OpenSCAD scripts and documenting your design process from initial concept through final export. Work outputs will support structured evaluation and improvement of AI-driven design systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end OpenSCAD projects, from concept development to final model export
- Develop structured, reusable OpenSCAD modules and parameterized scripts
- Apply Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) techniques to build complex 2D and 3D models
- Perform iterative refinement of parametric designs with clear engineering logic
- Prepare and export models in STL, OFF, or other standard manufacturing formats
- Provide detailed documentation explaining design decisions and workflow structure
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical alignment
Required Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience with OpenSCAD, including full project lifecycle execution
- Strong knowledge of CAD principles and CSG methodologies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable CAD tools
- Experience creating and optimizing reusable parametric scripts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- High attention to detail and structured engineering approach

- Experience preparing models for additive manufacturing or rapid prototyping
- Background in mentoring, teaching, or contributing to CAD communities
- Experience documenting workflows for research or AI-related applications
