Job Description

Role Overview

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients collaborating with a leading AI research organization on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving geographic reasoning, travel planning intelligence, and culturally grounded location-based analysis in advanced language models.

We are seeking experienced Geography and Travel Experts to create and evaluate high-quality geography- and travel-related prompts and responses.

This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically seeking experts who are fluent and deeply engaged in one or more of the following languages:

  • Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.

Important: This role is not about translation ability alone. Candidates must have sustained, hands-on engagement with geography and travel within their linguistic and cultural context including familiarity with:

  • Regional destinations and geographic distinctions
  • Transportation systems and infrastructure
  • Travel logistics and visa considerations
  • Local customs and cultural etiquette
  • Tourism trends and seasonal patterns
  • Geographic terminology and mapping conventions

This role is ideal for serious travelers, travel writers, geography enthusiasts, trip planners, cultural researchers, or dedicated hobbyists who actively engage in travel and geography discourse within their language ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Author realistic prompts spanning destination analysis, itinerary planning, cultural norms, transportation logistics, climate considerations, and regional comparisons
  • Review and refine AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, cultural authenticity, practicality, and clarity
  • Write high-quality “gold standard” responses for complex travel scenarios, multi-city itineraries, or culturally sensitive planning situations
  • Create controlled prompt variations testing differences in seasonality, budgets, visa requirements, transportation options, or traveler preferences
  • Evaluate outputs across tones (advisory, informative, conversational, technical)
  • Identify model failure cases such as geographic inaccuracies, outdated travel details, unrealistic itineraries, or culturally inappropriate recommendations

Ideal Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of sustained engagement with geography and/or travel through extensive travel experience, itinerary planning, travel writing, research, or community participation
  • Active participation in geography and travel discourse within at least one of the specified language ecosystems
  • Strong familiarity with regional geography, transportation infrastructure, customs, and travel norms
  • Ability to clearly articulate travel logistics and culturally grounded insights in the target language
  • Strong written communication skills and thoughtful editorial judgment

Commitment

  • Expected availability: 10–40 hours per week
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling

Application Process

  • Submit your resume, travel portfolio, blog, or relevant experience
  • Complete a short form outlining your geography/travel background and language proficiency
  • Qualified applicants will receive follow-up steps within a few days

Contract & Payment Terms

  • Engagement as an independent contractor
  • Fully remote with flexible hours
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on performance and business needs
  • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered
  • Visa sponsorship is not available at this time
