One of our clients is hiring experienced data professionals with advanced SQL expertise to support AI tool-use workflow development. This project-based engagement focuses on improving agentic workflows that power advanced AI applications. The opportunity for a Data Analyst SQL Proficient is fully remote and flexible, with engagements ranging from short-term to ongoing based on project needs.
About the Data Analyst SQL Proficient Role
You will design and validate realistic SQL-based workflows that reflect real-world data operations. Your expertise will help evaluate and improve how AI systems interact with databases and structured data tools. This role is ideal for professionals working in data analytics, data science, or quantitative domains who are excited to work at the frontier of AI innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Creation & Validation: Create realistic SQL-driven workflows based on practical, real-world use cases. Design complex tasks involving joins, window functions, CTEs, and large dataset manipulation. Reason through and document ideal solutions for each workflow.
- AI Model Evaluation: Review and validate AI model tool-use capabilities related to SQL workflows. Assess logical reasoning and execution accuracy. Provide structured feedback to enhance model performance.
- Data Quality & Optimization: Evaluate data integrity and implement validation checks. Identify workflow inefficiencies and suggest improvements. Apply query optimization best practices.
Ideal Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or related quantitative fields.
- Advanced SQL proficiency (window functions, CTEs, joins across large datasets, optimization techniques).
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field preferred.
