Job Description
Creative Review Specialist
Join one of our clients as a Design Critic and help shape how advanced AI systems interpret and analyze visual design across mediums. This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in visual arts, art history, design theory, journalism, or critique-based creative practice who are passionate about interrogating aesthetics, composition, and visual reasoning.
You will collaborate asynchronously with interdisciplinary designers to craft, critique, and refine experimental workflows involving frontier AI models.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and critique AI-generated visual outputs across various design disciplines
- Craft and refine experimental design workflows using advanced AI systems
- Provide structured, theory-informed feedback on composition, aesthetics, and visual logic
- Review and assess visual reasoning capabilities within generative models
- Collaborate asynchronously with designers across multiple disciplines
- Contribute to documentation and refinement of critique methodologies
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a visual, critique-based, or design-adjacent field (including design marketing or journalism)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a design-related discipline, including but not limited to: Art History, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Design Theory, Architecture, Visual Culture Studies, Film & Media Studies, Illustration, Editorial Design, Journalism (visual or arts focus)
- Experience writing or speaking critically about visual work (e.g., essays, reviews, critiques, studio feedback, academic or editorial analysis)
- Exposure to LLMs, generative AI prompting, or workflow experimentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Europe, Australia, or Brazil
Work Structure
- 10–20 hours per week, with potential for increased hours based on performance
- Fully asynchronous collaboration
- Project-based engagement with opportunities for extension

Contract and Payment Terms
- Engagement as an independent contractor
- Fully remote, flexible schedule
- Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance
- No access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time
