Role Overview: Blender Expert
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Blender Expert with strong experience in Bonsai (formerly BlenderBIM) to lead structured 3D and BIM-focused design workflows. This role is ideal for professionals who can combine advanced geometry modeling with BIM data management and IFC interoperability.
You will execute full 3D project pipelines in Blender, integrating BIM methodologies using Bonsai. The role involves structured modeling, IFC data management, interoperability validation, and clear documentation of modeling workflows to maintain high technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complete 3D project pipelines in Blender from concept to production-ready outputs
- Utilize Bonsai to manage BIM workflows and structured building data
- Model and refine geometry while maintaining organized BIM data structures
- Import, export, and validate IFC files for cross-platform interoperability
- Organize scenes, collections, and parametric building components
- Iterate on models based on design, coordination, and construction requirements
- Prepare documentation and outputs suitable for design development and construction coordination
- Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Advanced expertise in Blender with a strong portfolio of full lifecycle projects
- Hands-on experience with Bonsai (BlenderBIM) and BIM-based modeling workflows
- Practical knowledge of IFC data management and interoperability
- Strong understanding of BIM structuring, building element organization, and project data management
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or comparable 3D CAD platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to independently manage complex projects in a remote contract environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in architecture, construction, or architectural visualization
- Experience with parametric modeling and advanced geometry workflows in Blender
- Exposure to cross-platform BIM coordination processes
- Experience documenting technical workflows or mentoring others
