The Role
The Manager, Healthcare and Well-being Strategy is a visionary leader responsible for designing and optimizing innovative strategies to advance General Motors’ health and well-being objectives. Reporting to the Director, Global Benefits, Hourly Compensation & Labor Relations, this role requires expertise in self-insured employer healthcare, comprehensive well-being programming, and cross-functional leadership. The manager will translate strategic vision into measurable outcomes that enhance employee health, productivity, and engagement, while leading a team and coordinating across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee multi-year healthcare and well-being plans.
- Program Development: Design, launch, and manage comprehensive wellness programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships internally and externally to drive initiatives.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data, prepare reports and provide actionable insights.
- Leadership & Coaching: Mentor team members and champion a culture of health.
- Budget & Risk Management: Develop budgets, ensure compliance and manage resources.
Qualifications & Key Competencies
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in healthcare strategy or related fields. Must have proven skills in strategic planning, budgeting, data analysis, and leadership. Key competencies include visionary leadership, influence, business acumen, change management, and innovation.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range is estimated between $114,400 and $179,000, with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, retirement plans, and more. Note that GM does not offer immigration sponsorship for this role.
Work Arrangement & Additional Details
This role is based remotely, with occasional reporting to a nearby GM hub and travel requirements of less than 25%.
