Overview
The Advanced UX Design Manager at General Motors leads a team of dedicated designers to create next-generation user experiences across vehicles, web, and mobile platforms. This hybrid role requires reporting to the Warren GM Global Technical Center at least three days per week and offers relocation benefits.
What We Do
Join the Human Interface Design (HID) team to:
- Conduct deep user research to understand drivers and passengers.
- Design seamless experiences across infotainment systems, mobile apps, and web portals.
- Develop scalable design systems ensuring consistency, accessibility, and safety.
- Innovate on interactions including voice controls and advanced driver-assistance features.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and UX researchers.

Job Responsibilities
- Stay updated on design trends and industry directions.
- Collaborate to create and refine UX concepts for in-vehicle experiences.
- Develop production-ready design concepts and interactive prototypes.
- Produce high-quality design assets including sketches, storyboards, and 3D models.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across platforms.
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in User Experience or related field.
- Proficiency in Figma & Protopie; experience with Sketch, XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Experience in 3D modeling, video editing (Premiere Pro), and basic 3D animation.
- Understanding of engineering and software limitations.
