Job Description
DevOps Engineer Intern
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) in Pittsburgh has openings for DevOps Engineering Interns for 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to critical defense projects, supporting national security missions. You will integrate into a collaborative DevOps team, contributing to software and systems development in a UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows-based environment. This internship is designed to nurture and expand your technical skills while working among a talented and accomplished group of professionals. Responsibilities
- Integrate as a member of a Dev-Ops team and complete assigned tasks.
- Learn systems to update information and enter data into various systems.
- Research and document various data processes.
- Abide by all safety procedures outlined by the company.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Comfort working with Visual Studios and Eclipse IDEs.
- Experience with various Server Frameworks, DOM, and Java Web App Platform (Tomcat).
- Adeptness with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Comfortable working with Windows 7, 8, Mac OSX Mavericks (10.6+), and Linux operating systems.

Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering technology.

- Preference for students who have completed their sophomore year or higher.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
