Overview
The SWC Fire Control Systems Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc is a cross functional team member responsible for integrating continuous development and model based system engineering into evolving systems for modern warfare, ensuring mission safety and success.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Agile experience is preferred.
Clearance & Citizenship
Department of Defense Secret security clearance required at time of hire. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Drive system engineering initiatives and continuous development.
- Implement model based system engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Utilize tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo, JIRA, DOORS, and Linux.
- Collaborate in an Agile environment with a systems mindset.
- Engage in research-oriented work with an award-winning team.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- MagicDraw/Cameo modeling
- Linux OS expertise
- Experience in software processes using systems thinking
- Familiarity with wireshark
