Overview

At General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), the Python Data Analyst role involves delivering detailed data insights to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under the Federal Services System Support and Oversight (FSSSO) program. This role focuses on analyzing data, writing Python code, preparing reports, and providing actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis on data for the Independant Disuptes and Resolution (IDR) program
  • Document and communicate reporting requirements and methodologies
  • Review system performance and analyze collected data
  • Write Python code for in-depth data analysis and ETL pipelines
  • Build and redesign interactive Tableau dashboards
  • Prepare technical reports and participate in meetings

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Expert level skills in Python (with Pandas) and SQL
  • Advanced skills in Tableau, MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance and meet residency requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce and data migrations
  • Healthcare or CMS experience
  • Agile methodologies and familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
