About the Role
GDIT is the leading systems integrator in the Zero Trust Defense sector market. In the Cybersecurity Engineer Senior role, you will design, implement, and maintain high-distributed network systems aligned to zero trust principles for a DoD client.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SD-WAN based network architecture globally
- Configure, install, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and related software
- Plan and document network upgrades, expansions, and optimizations
- Diagnose complex network issues and resolve performance, security, and connectivity problems
- Mentor junior network engineers and oversee network documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless network integration
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations and zero trust requirements
Required Skills & Expertise
- 5-8 years experience in network security/engineering
- Expertise in zero trust network security, SD-WAN, and firewall architecture
- Experience with network protocols like BGP, OSPF, and VLANs
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Familiarity with cloud security in AWS, Azure, and GCP
