Original Job Summary
General Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe execution of daily operational plans and strategies, managing, leading, and allocating resources. This role ensures compliance with key processes while achieving safety, quality, efficiency, and financial KPIs for product safety, quality, legality and integrity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervises at least 2 full-time direct reports and manages hiring recommendations.
- Oversees daily, weekly, and monthly production activities in warehouse operations.
- Prepares and distributes operational reports and ensures effective scheduling.
- Leads daily startup meetings to communicate work instructions and safety practices.
- Conducts weekly safety meetings and maintains an orderly work environment.
- Drives teammate excellence with coaching, counseling, and performance feedback.
- Assists in inventory integrity, physical inventories and facility security.
- Supports the Operations Manager on special projects as required.
You Might Be a Great Fit If…
You meet one of the following educational or experience criteria: Bachelor's degree with no prior work experience, military rank E-6/E-7 or O-1/O-2, or at least 6 months of experience in a warehouse/supply chain environment with strong leadership capabilities. Labor management experience and a solid grasp of quality management methodologies along with a fundamental understanding of change management are valued.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to follow policies and procedures and interpret information.
- Capability to perform arithmetic calculations and manual tasks.
- Endurance to sit, walk, or stand during the shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
