Job Summary
This role holds responsibility for global project control activities, driving uniform functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation. It involves understanding and meeting customer expectations, focusing on departmental operations planning and execution within a technical discipline. The position offers autonomy, guided by established policies and final result reviews, allowing for workflow and practice modifications as long as quality, scope, and timeliness standards are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Technical Project Engineering Manager, AC Substations, you will:
- Provide technical expertise and develop solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economic efficiency) during the pre-ITO (procurement) process, serving as an interface to the commercial team.
- Apply in-depth market knowledge and understand customer economic value to contribute to bidding strategies.
- Perform ITO activities including technical analysis of customer needs, product definition and optimization, scope description, scheduling, industrial regulation, and cost calculation, adhering to contractual and internal guidelines.
- Calculate the performance and efficiency of plants, systems, and equipment.
- Document technical specifications and cost elements for subsequent contract phases.
- Engage in OTR (Order to Remittance) activities, adapting and implementing products for specific customer requirements.
- Utilize advanced technical discipline knowledge, analytical thinking, and experience to implement policies and strategies.
- Possess knowledge of best practices and how your area integrates with others, staying aware of competitive factors.
- Exercise judgment to propose innovative solutions outside established parameters for complex manufacturing processes with technical diversity and interdependent production cycles.
- Leverage technical experience and analytical thinking, drawing on internal and limited external sources for decision-making.
- Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead small, low-risk projects.
- Clearly communicate information, foster consensus among team members on technical topics, and manage performance expectations and sensitive issues.
Basic Qualifications
This role requires advanced experience, with a knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
