Job Description Summary
The Civil Structural Design Engineer will perform design, analyses and review of New Nuclear Power Plants within a team environment to ensure compliance with Canadian codes, regulations, and CNSC Regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and review static and dynamic analyses of nuclear structures.
- Perform design/analysis reviews for Seismic Category I and II structures.
- Conduct reinforced concrete, structural steel, and composite structure design.
- Use ANSYS, SAP2000, or GT-STRUDL for structural analysis.
- Adhere to Canadian codes, CNSC Regulatory Guides, and standards.
- Document technical data and communicate significant issues timely.
- Participate in quality reviews and organizational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 0-3 years of experience.
Eligibility and Work Arrangement
This role is located at the headquarters in Wilmington, NC with relocation assistance provided; however, it is a remote position. It requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
