GE Vernova is seeking a highly skilled AI Agent Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced autonomous AI agents using LLMs and AI/ML techniques. The role focuses on creating intelligent agents that can perceive, reason, and act in complex environments, both digital and real-world, to drive the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize AI agents using LLMs and reinforcement learning.
  • Develop scalable multi-agent architectures for long horizon reasoning and task completion.
  • Integrate agents with APIs, backend services, databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Prototype, deploy, and maintain reliable AI-driven systems in production.
  • Continuously optimize agent behavior with feedback and reinforcement techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and refine agent capabilities.
  • Monitor performance, conduct evaluations, and enforce ethical AI practices.
  • Document system architectures, design decisions, and workflows comprehensively.

Core Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and other relevant programming languages.
  • Expertise with AI/ML libraries like LangChain, OpenAI APIs, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and natural language processing.
  • Knowledge of agent orchestration platforms and multi-agent systems.
  • Familiarity with data management, vector databases, and real-time pipelines.
  • Experience deploying AI systems on cloud platforms with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning model training and evaluation.
  • Aware of AI ethics and data privacy practices.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related fields.
  • 2-3 years of experience in AI, GenAI application development and autonomous agent systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, experimental environments.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-step reasoning, prompt engineering, and model selection.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required.
