Job Overview
The Philips MR Technical Support Engineer drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence by providing technical support and counsel both remote and onsite to Field Engineers, Client Service Technicians, and Customers experiencing system performance issues. This position is the technical resource for all service-related escalations regarding the Philips MR product family, including Intera, Achieva, Panorama, Ingenia, and associated Workstations.
Responsibilities
Provide both remote and onsite technical support for Philips MR products. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Field Engineers, Client Service Technicians, and customers.
- Maintaining current knowledge of modality products and tools.
- Utilizing GEHC escalation process and "Gameplan" tool for service effectiveness.
- Coaching and training Field Engineers and supporting field-based training initiatives.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to resolve escalations and improve product performance.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years experience or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s in relevant engineering fields with 5+ years experience. Must have extensive diagnostic imaging experience specifically with Philips MR systems and a valid Driver’s License. Willingness to work rotating late shifts and on-call for critical issues is required, and U.S. legal work authorization is mandatory.
Desired Qualifications
Additional preferred qualifications include an engineering degree, experience in customer interfacing in a solution-based service process, and strong technical troubleshooting skills. A background in healthcare imaging, experience with Philips applications, networking, and CRM software is advantageous. Lean/Six Sigma certifications and previous project or technical leadership are also valued.
