Job Description
Job Summary
The Global Pricing Leader AVS is a global, strategic role responsible for defining and embedding value-based pricing for new product innovations (NPI) within GE HealthCare's Advanced Visualization Solutions (AVS) portfolio. AVS encompasses a broad range of technologies and digital solutions supporting diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapy, including ultrasound, mobile and fixed C-arms, and an expanding portfolio of AI-driven diagnostic and workflow enhancement tools.
This role partners with global subsegment leaders to translate NPI value propositions into differentiated value drivers and value-based pricing strategies that maximize customer value and price realization for equipment and services. The individual will simultaneously support regional alignment with pricing strategy and guardrails to drive improved launch price performance, discipline, and transparency through analytics.
This role operates upstream—shaping globally how products and services are configured, priced, and positioned—while tracking consistent implementation across regions and monitoring launch performance. Positioned at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and product marketing, this role directly influences how AVS captures value from innovation. It carries high visibility and executive exposure and is a key contributor within a cross-functional corporate pricing initiative supported by senior leadership.
GE HealthCare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator, dedicated to improving lives in the moments that matter.
Roles and Responsibilities
Value-Based Pricing Strategy – NPI Focus
- Lead the global value-based pricing strategy for NPI across the AVS portfolio in close partnership with Global Marketing, Product Management, and Service Lifecycle.
- Work with subsegment leaders to translate outputs from NPI pricing research and market studies into actionable pricing strategies and launch guardrails.
- In collaboration with global AVS marketing subsegments, convert differentiated customer value propositions—clinical, workflow, operational, and financial—into clear product and service structures (tiers, bundles, configurations, and options) and pricing architectures aligned to quantified customer value and competitive positioning.
- Ensure pricing strategy is embedded early and consistently throughout the NPI development lifecycle by partnering closely with Global Product Management, Global Product Marketing, and Service Lifecycle.
- Influence upstream product configuration and monetization decisions to strengthen price realization and margin performance at launch.
Product Configuration
- In partnership with global AVS subsegments and with input from regional teams, design differentiated configuration and bundling strategies that align to market segmentation and varying customer willingness to pay, enabling optimized value capture across segments and geographies.
Analytics, Modeling & Reporting
- Leverage and strengthen existing pricing analytics capabilities in partnership with the GE HealthCare corporate pricing team, including pricing waterfalls, Economic Value to Customer (EVC) modeling, launch price tracking and performance dashboards, and price realization and variance analysis.
- Utilize robust Power BI dashboards to provide senior leadership with clear, transparent, and actionable insights on pricing performance and launch outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to address price leakage and realization gaps while maintaining focus on strategic oversight rather than regional transactional.
Regional Liaison & Governance
- Partner with regional commercial leaders and finance stakeholders to define pricing guardrails, Average Order Price (AOP) assumptions, and Target Price Realization (TPR) frameworks that align with global strategy and financial objectives.
- Influence regional alignment through strong governance, analytics, and executive-level communication to ensure consistent execution against pricing strategy.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with AVS subsegments, Market Research, HEOR, Clinical, Product Marketing, and Finance to quantify and articulate customer value.
- Act as a thought leader for value-based pricing, advancing the organization beyond cost-plus methodologies toward disciplined, value-driven pricing decisions.
- Play a leadership role in continuous improvement initiatives related to pricing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or a minimum 6 years of experience in marketing, strategy, product, or analytics roles within MedTech, medical imaging, or adjacent industries.
- At least 5 years dedicated pricing experience, including development of pricing strategy.
- Demonstrated expertise in value-based pricing, ideally within capital equipment and/or software-enabled medical device environments.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, including hands-on experience with data visualization, performance tracking, and dashboard development.
