Job Overview
The Field Service Engineer I - MRI and X-Ray will primarily service the Charlotte, NC area. You will perform on time and accurate Preventative Maintenance on MRI and X-Ray equipment while partnering with experienced field engineers to learn troubleshooting, repair and installation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs, and ISIs.
- Assist experienced engineers with equipment installation and basic troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
- Keep accurate service logs and manage cycle times.
- Engage in quality, EHS & compliance tasks and follow GE HealthCare guidelines.
- Serve as part of the account community for key accounts and assist in sales opportunities.
- Answer service calls independently within one year of employment.
Quality & Compliance
Follow the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience/military education).
- Experience with Web applications and Microsoft suite.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 35 lbs.
- Capability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, and stand for long periods.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Availability for after hours or on-call schedule as needed.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with MRI and CT modalities and customer facing roles.
Additional Information
GE HealthCare offers relocation assistance, professional development, competitive compensation, and a supportive work environment. This remote role requires onsite visits at customer locations and occasional work from home. Preference is given to candidates residing in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro, NC area.
