Overview
The Executive Director Strategy at GE HealthCare leads high-impact strategic engagement across the enterprise globally and across business units. This role acts as an internal consulting partner to senior leadership, driving transformation, growth, and innovation across product lines, commercial models, and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Strategy Leadership: Own strategic initiatives including M&A, portfolio optimization, digital transformation, and go-to-market redesign. Develop a multi-year roadmap aligned with corporate priorities and innovation goals. Partner with business unit leaders to identify growth and improvement opportunities.
- Internal Consulting & Execution: Lead internal strategy consulting projects with a high-performing team. Define problem statements, structure analyses, synthesize insights, and build execution roadmaps in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a strategic thought partner to C-suite and functional leaders. Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and alignment forums to drive consensus and momentum. Communicate strategy clearly across organizational levels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategies. Influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Talent Development: Mentor junior strategists and high-potential talent, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and strategic thinking.
Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile
MBA or advanced degree from a top institution. 7-10 years of experience, with at least 5 years at a top-tier strategy consulting firm preferred. Proven track record in leading complex, cross-functional projects with strong financial acumen and quantitative skills. Experience in MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication, influence, and executive presence, as well as a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset and high EQ.
Compensation & Benefits
For U.S. based positions, the annual pay range is $252,000 to $378,000 with potential performance-based incentives including cash bonuses and long term incentives. GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with contributions opportunities, and additional insurance and tuition reimbursement options.
Additional Information
