Job Description Summary
The Biomedical Technician II will respond to service calls within a hospital or healthcare system in Asheville. You will evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance on biomedical equipment, providing service excellence to drive customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Evaluate customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections to support our customers’ ability to deliver healthcare. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; properly document all work performed. Maintain strong relationships with customers through frequent communication to ensure proper follow-up and ongoing customer satisfaction. Care for tools and test equipment to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education, or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in servicing medical equipment.
- 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
- Experience with electronic digital circuitry, electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
- Experience interpreting schematic diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Availability after-hours and for a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
- Ability to lift/move up to 35lbs.
