Overview
At GE HealthCare, the AI Research Intern will work with top researchers and domain experts to develop next generation AI technologies with profound impact on medicine and healthcare. This internship offers hands-on experience with deep learning algorithms, large language models, and high performance data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel machine learning algorithms on large-scale datasets.
- Build prototypes to develop high-performance AI algorithms in scalable, product-ready code.
- Demonstrate algorithms to meet accuracy requirements through statistical analyses.
- Propose innovative deep learning capabilities, pursue patents and research publications.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and market trends.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a PhD or master degree in computer science or related areas, or about to begin a PhD program in Fall 2026. Experience in one area of computer science such as Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning or Optimization is required. Proficiency in general purpose programming languages (Python, Java, C/C++) and experience with Spark/Hadoop and either PyTorch or TensorFlow are essential. Candidates with experience working on noisy real world data and large scale AI training will be preferred.
Compensation & Additional Information
This internship pays an hourly rate of $45-62 and offers access to petabytes of data, state-of-the-art computing resources, and a challenging work environment. Note: GE HealthCare will only employ individuals legally authorized to work in the United States. A successful drug screen is required and relocation assistance is not provided.
