Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Roles & Responsibilities
Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To):
- Developing innovative process designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability
- Engaging in all phases of new product introduction and process development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
- Developing engineering design concepts for components and electromechanical assemblies that have tough requirements for size, precision, reliability and cost
- Leading high mechanical accuracy process and equipment design
- Delivering improvements to process and equipment for high quality and productivity
- Validating process and equipment performance
- Participate in new product introductions through process layout, equipment/tool development, and process development.
- Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation
- Maintain key equipment and process in good production performance
Qualifications / Requirements
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications
- Bachelor or above in mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in production process (Manufacturing) or machine Engineering design
- Good capability in mechanical design

- Strong experiment design and analysis experience and capability
- Excellent data statistics and analysis experience and capability
- Problem solving oriented skills
- Design for reliability and design for manufacturing experience
- Experiences with process/machine development and manufacturing
- 6 sigma GB or above
- Broad knowledge in process engineering, such as electrical, mechanical, material, etc.
- Demonstrated program/project planning capability
- Demonstrated project leadership and influencing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiar with automation knowledge
