Overview
The Lead Supplier Quality Engineer - Non-Destructive Testing at GE Aerospace will use deep NDE expertise to drive quality improvements and sustain best practices within the composites supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Support supplier process quality strategy for GE Aerospace.
- Drive quality plan implementation and supplier audits.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions on quality findings.
- Select and qualify new suppliers through dedicated processes.
- Own and improve supplier quality systems using scorecards.
- Mentor team members and coordinate with cross-functional experts.
Role Details
This role manages supplier processes from qualification to continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to GE Aerospace process specifications and regulatory requirements. The candidate will apply expertise in CT Scanning and Ultrasonic evaluation processes to influence strategy and resource control. Using judgment and problem-solving skills, the role demands effective communication, decision-making, and innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum experience in Materials Science, Engineering, or Quality roles.
Desired Characteristics
Expertise in Non-Destructive Evaluation, strong reading of engineering drawings, organizational leadership in quality systems, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000 with an annual discretionary bonus. Comprehensive benefits include health care, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and other employee support programs.
