We've 10x'd revenue in 12 months, raised a $60 million Series B ($555 million valuation), and are growing faster than ever. We are backed by incredible investors, including Scale Venture Partners, Northzone, Sound Ventures, and Guillermo Rauch, CEO of Vercel.

If you thrive when the stakes are high and the path isn't paved, you'll love it here. Our six guiding principles are: 1% better every day, customer obsession, ship today, find a way, care deeply, and own it completely. Come shape the future of legal work with us.

Location

We are hiring for this role to be based in the United States or Canada. This is a remote role unless you fall within the following parameters. If you live within approximately 50 miles of our San Mateo, CA or Provo, UT office, the position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

About The Role of Product Onboarding Specialist

At GC AI, we’re redefining how legal practice works through the power of AI. As a Product Onboarding Specialist, you’ll be the primary guide for solo practitioners and individual subscribers—blending your legal expertise with cutting-edge AI to help these users unlock entirely new ways of working on their own terms.

In this role, you will be the dedicated partner for the modern, independent lawyer. You will lead the charge in delivering high-impact product demos, teaching individual users the intricacies of GC AI tool features, and diving deep into solo-specific use cases to ensure our platform fits seamlessly into their unique workflows. You aren't just an advisor; you are a hands-on partner who works alongside engineering to squash bugs, help provision new users, and shape the future of our feature set for the solo market.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, possesses a background in training, and is deeply committed to customer success. You’ll join a fast-moving startup where your work directly enables independent lawyers to compete at the highest levels.

What You'll Do

  • Master the Solo Demo: Deliver compelling one-on-one product demonstrations that showcase the specific value of GC AI to solo practitioners and prospective individual subscribers.
  • Empower Through Education: Teach individual users how to use specific GC AI features, ensuring they have the technical proficiency to maximize the tool's potential in a solo practice setting.
  • Solve Individual Use Cases: Engage directly with solo subscribers to understand their specific workflows (research, contracts, diligence) and design tailored AI solutions for their practice.
  • Seamless Onboarding: Own the technical provisioning and setup for each user once they sign up, ensuring a friction-free transition into the platform.
  • Direct Support & Answers: Act as the primary point of contact for individual subscribers, providing fast, accurate answers to their questions and helping them navigate the tool.
  • Collaborate with Engineering: Act as a technical liaison by working with our engineering and support teams to identify, document, and solve product bugs reported by users.
  • Drive Feature Innovation: Partner with Product and Engineering to propose and add new product features that specifically benefit solo users and individual subscribers.

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of experience practicing law, providing the foundational knowledge to speak "lawyer-to-lawyer" with independent practitioners.
  • Training & Teaching Background: Proven experience designing or delivering training programs, workshops, or 1-on-1 coaching.
  • Technical Curiosity: A genuine "tech-first" mindset with a passion for experimenting with new software and AI tools.
  • Customer Success Mindset: A track record of prioritizing the success of individual users and building helpful, proactive professional relationships.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate effectively with engineers to find solutions for user-reported bugs.
  • Onboarding Proficiency: Experience or comfort with the technical aspects of provisioning accounts and managing a high volume of individual user setups.

Nice To Have

  • Solo Practice Insight: Previous experience as a solo practitioner or working in a small firm environment.
  • Prompt Engineering Skills: Familiarity with the mechanics of LLMs and how to structure prompts for legal accuracy.
  • Startup Agility: Experience working in a fast-paced environment where you can pivot between teaching, support, and product feedback.
  • Self-Starter Mentality: The ability to manage a high volume of individual subscribers independently and efficiently.

Compensation

GC AI's compensation package includes a competitive base salary benchmarked against real-time market data, as well as equity for all full-time roles. We also offer exceptional benefits, as well as commission plans for applicable roles. Our US-based compensation range for this role is $80,000 – $85,000. Actual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, location, market demand, and other factors.
