Salary Range
The typical starting salary range is between $106,100 and $160,000 with opportunities for bonuses and growth.
Essential Duties & Functions
Deep Technical Builder
- Design and implement end-to-end AI-enabled applications.
- Develop data pipelines and select appropriate AI models.
- Work with LLM engineering, prompt architecture, and agentic AI.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft stack such as Azure OpenAI and M365 Copilot.
Governance Mindset
- Develop and execute AI governance strategy.
- Translate policies into enforceable technical controls.
- Integrate safety and observability into AI systems from day one.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with frameworks like NIST and ISO.
Product Thinking
- Translate business challenges into measurable AI product designs.
- Balance speed and risk while determining when to experiment.
Communication & Influence
- Explain AI concepts in simple language for business leaders.
- Lead workshops and craft clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate with governance and adoption teams.
Adaptability & Curiosity
- Learn rapidly and adapt in ambiguous environments.
- Embrace a builder’s mindset and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in solution architecture, AI/ML engineering, or systems integration.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Experience with AI governance, enterprise architecture, and responsible AI frameworks.
- Proficiency in coding languages like Python, R, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Java.
- Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bicep and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy-by-design principles.
