Gazaway Ace is a locally owned small business located in Paragould, AR with locations in Jonesboro, Fayetteville, and Benton, AR. The Paragould store, established in 1963, features a broad line of building materials along with Ace Hardware's key departments of paint, electrical, plumbing, and tools. The corporate offices are located at 2620 W Kingshighway, next to Walmart.

Basic Function

Accurately load product and safely operate equipment and trucks to maintain high customer satisfaction within company policy. When equipment and trucks are not in use, maintain the housekeeping of the lumber yard/warehouse and perform equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a “safety first” attitude.
• Report accidents or injuries to a supervisor immediately.
• Serve as the company representative for delivery and customer pickup.
• Follow local, state, and federal driving laws and regulations.
• Ensure courteous customer service and prompt, correct loading of deliveries.
• Adhere to company procedure for returned products.
• Oversee unloading and proper storage of incoming merchandise.
• Provide exceptional customer service for retail, contractor, or professional builder customers.
• Evaluate returned merchandise for proper disposition (resale, salvage, etc.).
• Verify that materials match the sales ticket(s) for each load.
• Maintain good relations and morale among employees and customers.

Requirements

Education/Training: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Forklift certification is preferred but not required.

Experience: Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required. (OSHA requirements: Minimum age 18 for forklift operation.)

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 80lbs), and climbing. Must pass a background check and drug screen. This position is classified as safety-sensitive and is subject to applicable laws and regulations.
