About the Technical Recruiter Role
Gauntlet is seeking a Technical Recruiter to identify, attract, and close top-tier engineering talent in crypto. In this role, you will be a strategic partner to scale the teams that shape the economic backbone of major crypto networks. This role requires strong technical fluency, a deep understanding of crypto culture, and the knack for engaging with candidates who appreciate complex, intellectually demanding work.
Responsibilities
- Own sourcing, outreach, screening, interviews, and closing for technical roles.
- Build and maintain diverse, high-quality pipelines across multiple functions.
- Drive exceptional candidate experience from first touch to offer acceptance.
- Leverage on-chain reputation tools and crypto-specific hiring channels.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to understand hiring needs.
- Advise hiring teams on best practices and structured interview processes.
- Maintain ATS hygiene, structured pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
- Propose improvements to hiring processes, outreach, and branding.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles, ideally in crypto or deep-tech environments. Demonstrated ability to hire senior engineers, quant researchers, or specialized profiles. Must understand core crypto concepts, especially in DeFi and exhibit strong communication skills. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize, and build strong stakeholder relationships is essential.

- Established presence or network within crypto communities (Twitter, GitHub, Discord, etc.).
- Experience hiring in high-growth or remote-first environments.
- Understanding TradFi & web2 hiring translating to Web3 needs.

Note: Hiring is currently reserved for potential employees in the contiguous United States and Canada.
Compensation
The national pay range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000 base plus additional On Target Earnings potential and equity. Individual pay decisions are based on qualifications, experience, skill set, and internal equity.
