Role Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer in the Core Software Engineering Services team builds and maintains the tool stack that supports daily business operations for colleagues company-wide. This role supports building reliable, sustainable, and cost efficient tools using cutting edge technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
  • Manage containerized applications and orchestrate them at scale.
  • Automate infrastructure and system tasks using Linux Shell and Python scripting.
  • Integrate a modern DevOps toolchain to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Provide training on operational best practices to development teams.
  • Maintain accurate data for reporting reliability SLOs.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions (Zabbix, Grafana).
  • Ensure high application availability through proactive monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Participate in capacity planning for peak load scaling.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role, strong expertise with CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting (Linux Shell/Python). Familiarity with Git/GitHub, Jira, Confluence and Agile methodologies. Problem-solving skills and troubleshooting complex issues are essential.

Bonus Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible.
  • Familiarity with additional monitoring platforms (Uptrends) and tools like Zuul, JFrog Artifactory.
