Summary

Gardner White Furniture is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, assisting with inquiries, purchases, and issue resolution to ensure a positive shopping experience and build long-term relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone.
  • Assist with product inquiries, pricing, and availability.
  • Resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction, escalating when needed.
  • Partner with Gardner White stores for overflow calls and administrative support.
  • Research various software platforms and social media (Storis, Podium, Dispatch Track, Facebook, Instagram) for information input and response.
  • Develop a deep understanding of furniture products, including features, materials, and styles.
  • Stay updated on product inventory, promotions, and sales events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This role operates in a retail office setting.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of customer service and/or call center experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and calmness under pressure.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for helping others.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of furniture products and industry trends is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Cash handling and/or accounting experience is a plus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position working either AM or PM based on business needs.
