Operations & Office Manager

The Gardens of Golden Gate Park is seeking an Operations & Office Manager who will manage multiple offices and facility workspaces. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role supports all levels of the organization to ensure peak functionality.

About Gardens of Golden Gate Park

This public/private partnership connects people to plants, the planet, and each other through the Conservatory of Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden, and San Francisco Botanical Garden. It involves collaboration between the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department and the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society.

Position Summary

The Operations & Office Manager is responsible for managing office operations, facilities, vendor relationships, IT support, and implementing systems that keep the organization running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate facilities needs with city and private landlords.
  • Maintain office efficiency through organizing procedures and supplies.
  • Manage vendor contracts including IT, telecom, security, and maintenance.
  • Oversee IT equipment and ensure business systems function properly.
  • Plan space and infrastructure, manage safety and emergency protocols.
  • Develop and manage an annual operations budget.

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience including 3 years in office and operations management. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills are essential, along with experience in vendor management and IT support.

Additional Expectations

This role requires on-site presence across multiple locations in and around Golden Gate Park, with occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods or events.
