Senior Full-Stack Developer (m/w/d)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team at GARANTIEMAX GmbH. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our technical and architectural decisions. You will be responsible for the continuous development and optimization of our microservices and Kubernetes architecture, focusing on performance, stability, and security. This position involves developing and enhancing modern full-stack applications across frontend, backend, and database layers, ensuring code quality, scalability, and technical excellence. You will collaborate closely with product management, design, and business stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions and actively contribute to improving development processes, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. A key aspect of this role is evaluating and integrating new technologies, including modern AI solutions, to drive innovation and modernize our software landscape for an AI-driven future.

Your Responsibilities

• Active participation in technical and architectural decisions within the team.
• Further development and optimization of our microservices and Kubernetes architecture, focusing on performance, stability, and security.
• Development and continuous improvement of modern full-stack applications (frontend, backend, databases).
• Responsibility for code quality, scalability, and technical excellence.
• Close collaboration with product management, design, and business stakeholders to develop optimal solutions.
• Knowledge sharing within the developer team—learning from each other, growing together.
• Continuous improvement of development processes, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluation and integration of new technologies and tools, including modern AI solutions, to actively drive innovation.
• Support in modernizing our software landscape on the path to an AI-driven future.

Your Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development and experience working with complex system landscapes or under high quality and performance requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js (e.g., NestJS), and frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Next).
• Proficiency in working with REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with container technologies and cloud environments (Docker, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with microservices architectures and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of clean code, software architecture, and scaling complex systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, test automation, and monitoring.
• Strong awareness of code quality, architecture, and technical responsibility.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and enjoyment in shaping rather than just implementing.
• Proficient experience with modern AI tools and systems, particularly Claude, Codex, and OpenClaw, and the ability to use them effectively for efficiency gains, automation, and support.
• Fluent German language skills (written and spoken).
• Enjoy working collaboratively in a team with experienced developers.
• Additional advantages: Experience in DevOps, QA, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance), network technology, IT security, as well as practical experience in the use and integration of AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Agentic AI, or LLMs—whether for automation, developing new features, or optimizing existing processes.
