Privacy Engineer
The Privacy Engineer bridges the gap between regulatory requirements and technical execution at GamblingCareers.com. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain privacy controls, technologies, and workflows to protect personal data and ensure compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Advise teams on privacy compliance, risk, and best practices.

- Manage incident response for data breaches and regulatory projects.
- Translate global privacy laws into actionable technical and business controls.
- Audit and remediate cookie compliance through proper configurations.
- Develop DSAR workflows and maintain executive-level documentation.
- Educate teams on privacy obligations and tool usage.
- Lead projects independently and track progress.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or related field.
- 3–5+ years in privacy engineering, operations, or consulting.
- Strong understanding of regulations (GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, COPPA) and frameworks.
- Experience with privacy platforms like TrustArc and API reviews with a privacy lens.
- Proficiency in process mapping and risk mitigation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence leadership.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CDPSE, CISSP-Privacy or ISO/IEC 27701.
- Programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Go, or C++.
- Experience in automating DSAR workflows and using advanced privacy tools.
