IT Specialist at GAC Group
Join the GAC Marine team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates as an IT Specialist. You will support day-to-day IT operations across office and vessel environments, ensuring stable systems and effective user support while driving digital and smart vessel initiatives.
The Job
Operational IT Support: Deliver first- and second-line technical assistance to office and vessel users. Handle service desk inquiries, incidents, onboarding, and offboarding.
Business Applications & ERP Support: Assist with end‑user support for business applications and ERP systems, manage user access, troubleshoot and liaise with vendors.
Vessel Systems & Communications: Act as the primary contact for vessel IT systems, coordinate connectivity, maintenance, and standardization across the fleet.
IT Standards, Knowledge & Enablement: Develop and maintain IT documentation, promote self‑service and digital literacy, aligning with ISO and internal standards.
Process Optimization & Service Support: Identify recurring IT issues, support the IT Manager during escalations, and refine IT processes.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in large scale IT change programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, or ITIL.
- Experience with business applications, ERP and maritime software systems.
- 3-5 years of IT helpdesk and network support experience.
