Software Engineer AI

Overview

The Software Engineer AI role at G2i Inc. focuses on training large-language models (LLMs) to write production-grade code. You will compare and rank code snippets, explain the best approaches, repair and refactor AI code, and inject feedback into the RLHF pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Train LLMs by evaluating and ranking code snippets.
• Repair and refactor AI-generated code for efficiency.
• Inject ratings, edits, and test results into the RLHF pipeline.
• Explain why one coding approach is superior.
• Collaborate in an asynchronous, low-oversight environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience in Ruby.
• Strong code-review instincts to spot logic errors and performance issues.
• Extreme attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
• Enjoy reading documentation and language specifications.
• Bonus: Experience with constraint programming.

What You Don’t Need

No prior RLHF or deep machine learning knowledge is required. If you can clearly review and critique code, the necessary training will be provided.

Logistics

• Location: Fully remote - work from anywhere.
• Compensation: From $30/hr to $70/hr based on location and seniority.
• Hours: 15 to 40 hours per week.
• Engagement: 1099 contract.
