Position Overview
The Artificial Intelligence Engineer role calls for a strong Python engineer to join a small, fast-moving team that designs, builds, deploys, and iterates on agentic systems powering both user-facing chat experiences and background automation across the product portfolio.
The Work
- Design and build agentic workflows for chat experiences and background processes.
- Select appropriate techniques for prompting, tool use, orchestration, memory, and evaluation.
- Write high-quality, production-grade Python code.
- Iteratively build, test, deploy, and operate services on Azure.
- Collaborate closely with a small, fast-moving, fully remote team.
The Bar
- Strong Python fundamentals and solid computer science background.
- Experience with agentic systems including tools, RAG, API integrations, and orchestration techniques.
- Familiarity with context engineering and staying updated with industry developments.
- Working knowledge of FastAPI, Pydantic-AI, Pydantic, Pandas, and Redis (or similar libraries).
- Proficiency with AI-augmented coding tools and observability tools like Logfire.
- Clear demonstration of past projects with detailed design decisions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and less rigid specifications.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure or similar cloud infrastructure.
- Exposure to non-LLM machine learning such as regression and classification.
