Job Description
Process Engineer
Futura Energy Group is partnering with a leading advanced fission energy company to recruit Process Engineers who will design, analyze, and operate next-generation fluid and power process systems for their innovative nuclear power plants.
They are actively collaborating with government laboratories and industrial partners to commercialize advanced nuclear power, including behind-the-meter (BTM) generation for AI data centers, industrial sites, and local communities.
What You’ll Do
- Design and optimize fluid and process systems: piping, valves, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers.
- Define process equipment architecture, specifications, operational modes, and performance criteria.
- Build, test, and operate prototypes to refine designs iteratively.
- Generate technical documentation guiding fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of process systems.
- Serve as the system owner through multiple lifecycle stages, from concept to regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with external vendors on analysis, procurement, and testing of process equipment.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly in reports and presentations.
What We’re Looking For
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Materials, Petroleum, Aerospace, or Chemical disciplines.
- Experience designing or modifying process equipment in industries such as nuclear, petroleum, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical.
- Strong systems engineering intuition and broad engineering knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Hands-on experience with fluid/process system design, power generation, or systems engineering.
- Passion for clean energy and advancing nuclear technology.
- Curious, creative, and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment.
