About the role
Robotics Intern at Fusion Sports
Fusion Sports is seeking a motivated Robotics Intern to join our team in Pune. This hybrid role offers a hands-on experience in designing, assembling, and retrofitting robotic systems for table tennis applications.
Responsibilities:
- Circuit Prototyping & Assembly: Design and solder custom circuit boards (Perfboard/PCB) for table tennis robots using ESP32, L298N/L293D motor drivers, and sensors.
- Power Management: Wire and manage 12V Li-Ion battery packs, ensuring safe power distribution to 5V (controllers) and 12V (motors) using buck converters and BMS.
- Hardware Integration: Assemble motors, servos, and electronics into 3D-printed mechanical chassis (parts provided by the team) to create finished prototypes.
- Retrofitting: Convert an existing Wired Robot into a Wireless IoT Robot by replacing the old motherboard with a new custom ESP32 circuit.
- Remote Control Build: Solder and assemble a handheld wireless remote using potentiometers, switches, and charging modules.
- Cable Management: Ensure all wiring inside the robot is neat, secured, and professional-grade (avoiding "spaghetti wiring").
