FullCircle™ is a non-profit global community dedicated to virtual Black storytelling, centralized on Mother Africa and its Diaspora. Through extensive research and collaboration, FullCircle has launched KinFinity, a for-profit, social impact initiative within its non-profit framework. This innovative project focuses on creating a web app for organizing family reunions, preserving heritage, and facilitating intergenerational connections. By leveraging technology, KinFinity aims to simplify planning for family elders and engage younger generations, while serving as a digital archive for Black families. Guided by FullCircle’s mission and values, KinFinity aspires to foster meaningful, purpose-driven connections that have the potential to create transformative social change.
Role Description
This is a remote role for a Board Member supporting the KinFinity initiative. Board Members are responsible for providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and governance oversight to help achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities may include connecting with investors, stakeholder outreach, and offering expertise in areas such as technology, marketing, or community engagement. Board Members are expected to uphold the organization's mission, contribute to decision-making processes, and advocate for the KinFinity initiative within their networks.
Qualifications
- Leadership, governance, and strategic decision-making experience
- Investor funding, financial management, and resource development expertise
- Marketing, public relations, and/or communications skills
- Experience in technology, app development, or digital platforms
- A strong passion for social impact, storytelling, and community engagement
- Familiarity with issues related to preserving cultural heritage and intergenerational connections is a plus
