Infrastructure Architect

Location: Basingstoke. Occasional travel may be required. No remote working possible.

As an Infrastructure Architect you will contribute by utilizing energy efficient hardware and designing solutions that reduce energy use through virtualization, efficient data management, and green software engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Create design artefacts for Microsoft Windows Server solutions (physical and virtual).
• Collaborate with Solution Owners and Project Managers to ensure defect-free solutions.
• Manage work packages through the Customer Solution Lifecycle.
• Produce, support, and maintain detailed documentation and designs.
• Work on secure infrastructure solutions following Secure by Design principles.
• Utilize PowerShell scripts, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and/or Ansible.
• Migrate from ESXi to Hyper-V where advantageous.

Your Transferable Skills and Experience

• Experience in producing high quality solutions and documentation.
• Creating/modifying design artefacts such as Architecture Overview, High-Level and Low-Level Designs.
• Experience steering solutions through quality gates and requirements management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and associated enterprise tools.
• Willingness and eligibility for high level security clearance.
